Thank you for your interest in volunteering with SICAW! There are many ways to help, so please get in touch with us to see how your skills match with our volunteer needs.

Here are just a few ways that SICAW volunteers help:

Feed, clean and provide tender loving care at the adoption center

Feed/Clean Shift at PetSmart: SICAW is one of PetSmart’s Adoption partners in Staten Island. We operate the Adoption Center at the Forest Avenue location, which includes feeding the cats, tidying up after the cats, playtime for the cats, and a variety of other duties to ensure that the animals are well taken care of. PLEASE CONTACT US IF YOU’RE INTERESTED.

Adoption & Fundraising Events

We plan ongoing adoption events and special fundraising events. Volunteers help organize and participate in these events.

Photography & Video

Good photography/video makes a big difference in whether an animal is adopted. Professional (or good amateur) photographers and videographers are needed to capture high quality images of the adoptable pets.

Marketing & Web

Volunteers assist with graphic design, copywriting, web site changes, social media posts & engagement, and more.

Accounting & Admin

Volunteers help with accounting and administrative functions to help run the organization efficiently.

FOSTER

Foster an animal (or two!) in your home. Because we don’t have a single location where we hold all of our adoptable pets, we depend on foster parents to care for the animals until they are adopted. You provide love and care - we provide all the food and supplies!
